Welcome to Treasures on the Corner website!
Treasures on the Corner is an antique shop in Downtown Evergreen, Alabama, located at 503 East Front Street. You can reach the shop at 251-578-6000. The shop is full of "treasures" from antique furniture, old and somewhat new books, collectibles of all kinds. There is something for all collectors, from many other interesting and unique gifts to original art work by local artists. The walls are decorated with art ranging from framed prints to original works of art found in Studio 507. We have many old china patterns (Noritake, Royal Doulton, and others), cut glass, oriental rugs, and much more for your browsing. A visit to Treasures on the Corner will step you back into the past and allow you to enjoy the unique items and the wonder of this 1902 building.
Treasures on the Corner opened for business on Novermber 1, 2006, in this historic building in Evergreen's downtown district. The building was built in 1902 as a grocery and feed store. It remained a grocery store until 2004, when Hurricane Ivan did major damage to the roof. When my son purchased the building in 2006, the ceiling had to be replaced. That was the only major change that was made to this great old building. Most of the old store is still the same; just antiques, books, and collectibles now have replaced the groceries and livestock feed. Come, and drift back in time when you visit Treasures on the Corner. Then step two doors down to be surpised by the original art work of local artist, some who still live in Evergreen and others who have moved away, but return to their hometown to meet with friends and family and display their works.
